Nothing with the Potential of Being Something
Nothing with the Potential of Being Something is an attempt to explore the surreal outer space landscape in the middle of the universe. A story of creation, dissolution, and regeneration. The end result was an asteroid-like levitating form, seemingly molten, dripping, seemingly seeking to coalesce into almost a surreal space. Included was a video of the Sun, the ultimate source of energy in the universe. I explore the un-real where anything could happen, where human stories, values, and traits were extracted from exaggerated, unreal caricatures, where idealism, heroism, humor, and adventure were rampant – found an easy set of parallels in the spiritual epics in India. When I started my post graduation I got fascinated by the secretive nature of esoteric knowledge and began to research spiritual texts including a book on pedantic physics similar to modern-day quantum physics. This book began to clarify that the mythical characters and stories weren’t merely figments of imagination or superstition but representative forms given to formless ideas.
